Shani Sandy has spent more than 9 years as the Creative Lead in the FinTech (financial technology) sector. She is the Creative Director at the newly formed, S&P Capital IQ, a business of McGraw Hill Financial. Growing with the company from a start-up to a multinational corporation, she has led design, branding, and management within the corporation. Her greatest challenge now is leading her team and peers to continue with a start-up mentality of being disrupters, innovative, and adaptable while working within the necessary constraints of a major corporation.
Shani decided to come to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership to challenge herself in a non-traditional educational environment and find inspiration and knowledge from an international class of participants who are facing similar situations in their industries. "My output is at its richest maximum when it is informed in a multidisciplinary way. As I have progressed in my career, the stakes are higher and navigating through interpersonal factors and complex problems are all persistent variables. I am seeking the rigorous practice and various tools the Executive MBA program offers to continue to meet these challenges, specifically in the context of creativity."
Before joining what was then Capital IQ, Shani received her BA in Art History and BFA in Painting and Computer Art at Tufts University. She also attended AIGA & Yale School of Management, Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders in 2012.
