Michael J. Miraflor

Strategic Director
ZenithOptimedia
United States
Class 15
About

Michael started his career in an agency environment that had both Creative and Media departments, where he actively engaged in learning the language of creative development and compiling his technical learnings on how to improve processes and operations, ensuring that the language was accessible to employees on both sides. Since that first experience, bridging the understanding of cultures and ideas between teams, departments, agencies and clients has been an underpinning of his activities. His work at Zenith has dealt largely with communicating advanced planning methodology, digital
concepts, and trends to colleagues in multiple markets.

Michael decided to join the Berlin School in order to continue translating complex concepts and making them accessible to clients, but with a solid foundation of business thinking. “I have witnessed many an unfortunate blame game between departments when client expectations were not met. I also noticed curiously that there was no institutional training put in place to educate one department in the language of the other; too much was being lost in translation. I made solving this my mission.”

Client work at Zenith includes Strategy, Media, and Ideation for H&M, PUMA, PUMA International, Kering/PPR/Gucci Group (Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, McQ, Yves Saint Laurent, Sergio Rossi).
