Cool Japan

This course is named after a cultural concept that has become a multi-sectoral initiative which describes growing international interest in Japan as a creative environment, and also reflects the country’s attempt to leverage that interest for development and growth – especially in the fields of media content, fashion, cuisine, pop culture and tourism. The program includes site visits that give participants a chance to observe and interact with creative producers and consumers, talk with leaders in Japan’s creative scene, and analyze opportunities/challenges for both Japanese companies and foreign firms.
