Thanks to the high number and caliber of applicants and the generous support of Contagious and the Miami Ad School, the Berlin School welcomed two outstanding scholarship winners to the Executive MBA’s September Start Module 2015.

Contagious Brand Innovation Scholarship
Scholarship Winner: Iggy Rodriguez
Creative Group Head
Leo Burnett
Australia

This year's winner of the Contagious Scholarship, Iggy Rodriguez, is the Creative Group Head at Leo Burnett Sydney, where he's worked with clients including Coca-Cola, Samsung and Diageo. He has won several awards internationally for his innovation-driven campaigns and takes pride in serving as an ambassador for the Young Lions program to foster young talent. When asked about it means to him to have the chance to attend the Berlin School he says:

“It’s a huge honour to be the recipient of this prestigious scholarship and I see it as an opportunity for me to continue growing and expanding my skill set. The Berlin School MBA is a personal challenge I set for myself. It is one of the results of a restlessness within me, a desire to never sit still and to keep striving forward.

I hope to gain something that takes me beyond just being a great creative thinker, to someone who can look a few steps forward from where we need to be, identify changes in our industry before they occur, have the vision to act swiftly and lead people confidently into tomorrow.”

Miami Ad School Scholarship
Scholarship Winner: Nour Da Silva
Creative Director/ Freelancer
The Flying Machine
US

Nour Da Silva, the first recipient of the Miami Ad School Scholarship, has been working as a freelance senior creative director and copywriter for major brands including Ford, Sony and Shell, and has collaborated for many years with a wide range of agencies. Furthermore, Nour is a passionate instructor at the Miami Ad School, where she gives lectures about topics such as Script Writing, Story Writing and Ideas First.
After her first week at the Berlin School, Nour told us what winning the Scholarship means to her:

“Winning the first Miami Ad School scholarship is a huge honor, and it also fills me with a deep gratitude and a sense of responsibility. As a former student of the school and as a current instructor there, I know how important it is to nurture creativity at every level. The Miami Ad School has always empowered the misfit in me, and has helped me to set out on that path to become a misfit who inspires others to follow.

Whether by being a voice of reassurance or a voice of change; this MBA at the Berlin School for Creative Leadership will help me to build the foundation and set the pillars for what I would like to achieve. Just a couple of days into the program, and I already know by the caliber of professors, fellow participants and the work that we’ve been doing, that this is the place for me to be. I have to thank my Miami Ad School for that.”
