Our Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic

The circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have forced many of us back to our core – to look at the fundamental questions of who we are and what we want to become. An education that fosters personal, professional and intellectual advancement represents a permanent asset to every individual. Self-learning – and all learning – is one of the few areas of our lives we have control over – and learning, in turn, empowers us, by enabling us to better craft how our individual story plays out. 

Yes, the pandemic has acted as a future accelerator for online demands – particularly in the education sector. At the Berlin School, where we teach that the ability to “reflect, act, pivot; reflect back, act, pivot” is the foundation of leadership, we had already been reflecting on our business strategy long before the arrival of this global crisis – with pivots planned. Now, we are excited to announce the upgrade and expansion of our Executive MBA to a “hybrid” format – and promise to preserve the all-important face-to-face community experience, creating authentic, vibrant spaces for exchange both online and in the “real world” classrooms of our global hubs. Also in development are an exciting range of non-degree offerings, from open online courses to certificate programs (in-person, online and hybrid) that allow us to bring more of our faculty’s expertise to a wider audience. 

Education at its best serves as a moderator, making space for and exploring different points of view. Our unique positioning as curators, drawing on an extensive network of academic and industry expertise, allows us to shape these discussions with agility, staying attuned to the status quo in a way that feels particularly relevant to the paradigm shift we are in.

It has also never felt more essential to be engaged in the education of creative business leaders, whose expertise and vision will undoubtedly be even more in demand amidst the challenges of the new normal. And on this note, to further our response, we are delighted to offer the Berlin School Tuition Fund – €50,000 worth of funds to be dispersed amongst qualified applicants who may have been financially set back by the pandemic.

In closing, we’d like to express how much our hearts go out to all those who have suffered losses of late – both personal and professional. We hope and we strive to be there for our community – past, present and future – maintaining a safe, supportive space for learning and growth.
