Helga and Michael Conrad Scholarship

The Helga and Michael Conrad Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship awarded to one outstanding applicant per Executive MBA class. Scholarship candidates should ideally have a strong academic background, sustained interest in community service, outstanding creative abilities, and a passionate interest in motivating high-end creative work through leadership.

The scholarship was established by Steinbeis University Berlin in honor of the Berlin School’s founding President, Michael Conrad, and covers full tuition and accommodation cost for the 2008-10 Executive MBA Program. The scholarship cannot be postponed to a later date and does not cover travel costs.  The scholarship cannot be paid out in cash nor transferred to another person.

In 2008-10 the Michael and Helga Conrad Scholarship was awarded to Dr. Armin Wolf,  Chief Correspondent and Senior Anchor at the Austrian Public Broadcasting Corporation.  In addition to his  Executive MBA studies at the Berlin School, Mr. Wolf’s individual research project focuses on international media consumption and political participation.  He is particularly interested in how younger citizens in “media democracies” stay informed, politically engaged, educated and motivated during times of new and rapidly changing media.
