"I learned three months worth of material in two weeks," said Kelly Kanisto, Senior Creative at Fjord (Germany), when asked about the experience of his first module at the Berlin School.
For 14 days in Berlin Class 3 of the Executive MBA Program in Creative Leadership met to kick off their studies. The two-week module was opened by Professor Doug Guthrie, Academic Director of the Berlin School, Michael Conrad, President of the Berlin School, and Keith Reinhard, Chairman Emeritus of DDB and Berlin School Class 3 "Godfather."
Next the group will move onto their second module in Japan where they will look closely at Asian styles of leadership and innovation.
Guthrie challenged the group to re-think their roles and carefully consider the complexities of leadership while Reinhard stressed the importance of building a winning culture where creative professionals can succeed. Conrad encouraged Class 3 to set high standards among their teams and set metrics to measure their successes and shortcomings.
"Being part of a group like this is inspiring," said Manoela Amaro, Marketing Director of TAM Airlines (Brazil). "I am full of new ideas and methods on how to handle my work and my teams." Travania Henderson Principal & Founder of the The Marketing Department (USA) found the Berlin School international and interdisciplinary offering "a unique lens that enables participants to see the world from an entirely fresh perspective."
