
Position: Creative Director & Chairman, World Wide Creative Council, Ogilvy & Mather
Short vita: Starting his career in London, Khai Meng has been in the ad business for over two decades, joining Ogilvy & Mather in 1999.
Prior to this role Khai was Co-Chairman and Executive Regional Creative for Asia Pacific. In 2005, Khai was elected to the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Board.
Under Khai's leadership, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific has been awarded the most creative agency network in the region for four consecutive years. Khai was also ranked the Number One Creative Director in Asia for four years in a row by Campaign Brief. He was listed in AdAge Global New York as one of the '100 most influential people in the communication business'. Khai was recently named Regional Agency Head of the Year 2006 by Media magazine.
Khai has won numerous Gold awards at the most prestigious international advertising award festivals including Cannes, The One Show, Clio and Communication Arts. He was the 2005 Chairman of the Jury at the Clio Awards.
He is the author of The Ugly Duckling - a cautionary tale of creativity, now translated into Korean, Japanese and Mandarin.
Khai holds a BA (1st Class) from Central St Martin's, UK, and a MA (summa cum laude) in film and History of Art from the Royal College of Art, UK.
