Emily brings her decade of experience in advertising sales and business administration to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership where she works to recruit top talent to the school. She is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, and since she also earned an MBA while working full-time, she shares with them valuable insights into balancing work and pursuing a degree at the same time.
Biography
Emily joined the Berlin School of Creative Leadership admissions team in July 2011. A Berlin based Oregonian, Emily originally hails from Lake Oswego, Oregon and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for ten years before moving to Berlin in 2008 as a Robert Bosch Fellow. She began her advertising sales career in San Francisco working for Ziff Davis Media where she sold print advertising for Electronic Gaming Monthly, Computer Gaming World, Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine, Expert Gamer, several specials, and the E3 Show Dailies. From gaming she moved into Japanese animation, where she last held the position of Director of Advertising for The Anime Network, The Anime Network On Demand, and Newtype USA Magazine at A.D. Vision. Emily holds a B.A. in German Studies from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. She is also a graduate of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley where she earned both a M.B.A. and a Certificate in Global Management.
