Forceful presence at the Cannes Lions Awards ceremony.

The Berlin School continues to deliver a forceful presence at the Cannes Lions Awards ceremony, bringing home almost as many Lions as our home country of Germany.

With 80 Lions awarded to 19 Berliners, our participants continue to prove that creativity mixed with successful leadership practices can bring agencies to the next level and garner the recognition and rewards that propel a creative’s career forward. We are thrilled to congratulate Andy Stäheli, who garnered a total of 12 Lions, Dentsu’s Yukio Nakayama for bringing home 5 Gold, along with 3 silvers and a bronze, and Bechara Mouzzannar for also winning 9 Lions, rounding out our top three winners this year.

The Berlin School has become an institution at Cannes, with a combined record number of awards for 2011 and 2012 totalling 190, including several Grand Prix. Having just completed another Cannes Creative Leaders Program and about to congratulate nine new EMBA graduates this summer, the Berlin School mission to put a creative leader at the helm of every creative enterprise is becoming more of a reality every day. With Berliners winning awards in all of the categories, and winning more than ten percent of the total Lions awarded in Cyber and Design, we anticipate our varied group of participants will continue to dominate the categories across the board in the coming years.
