Announcing the Helga & Michael Conrad DLDwomen Scholarship

While the era of 'Mad Men' makes for great television, the dawning of 'Mad Women' is upon us. Or, at least, it should be. However, studies show that men still dominate leadership roles within the creative industries, with less than 5 percent of creative directors positions in advertising agencies going to women. This creates not only an unfortunate perception of a 'glass ceiling,' but also hinders the success of industries that often target women as potential consumers.

The Berlin School of Creative Leadership's mission is to put a creative CEO, both men and women, at the helm of every creative company. The number of women in our EMBA classes is growing every year and post-graduation, many of our alumni are creating their own companies or drastically changing the organization in which they currently work. With the creative industries struggling to stay strong and evolve along with the digital age, having diverse viewpoints at the top becomes evermore important. While debates in countries across the world continue about how women can crack that glass ceiling, the Berlin School believes that preparation and skill-growth are the first steps to changing those statistics.

The Berlin School of Creative Leadership is proud to announce the "Helga and Michael Conrad Scholarship for DLDwomen in Leadership".

This special full-tuition scholarship is eligible to accomplished female executives, innovators and entrepreneurs in the creative industries with a strong track record of creative excellence. Applications will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of judges from the Berlin School and DLD, including Maria Furtwängler-Buda and Helga Conrad. The winner will be chosen based on the strength of their personal statement as well as their overall professional profile.

The scholarship winner will receive program tuition support worth 53.000 euro (which covers full program tuition costs) to attend the Berlin School Executive MBA in Creative Leadership program starting March 17, 2013. Scholarship application deadline: November 15th, 2012. Winner will be announced December 1st, 2012. This scholarship is made possible by the generous financial support of Helga and Michael Conrad.
