21-Jun-2009Teruo Kurosaki is the Founder of the Ikejiri Institute of Design in Tokyo. Upon its establishment the Ikejiri Institute immediately became a creative refuge from the stifling hierarchies of large traditional creative firms and research institutes. Today, as Teruo explains, top executives regularly visit to stay in touch with the latest trends and creative energies. A physicist by training, Teruo found early success by introducing the famous idée and sputnik furniture designs to Japan and the world and would later focus on interior design. In this Berlin School TentTalk with Professor Doug Guthrie, Teruo focuses on the work of the Ikejiri Institute and lends his insights on the current state of the Japanese creative industries.
