Course Description:
The first session will deal with the phenomenon of organizational energy in teams, divisions and companies. Participants will be familiarized with different energy levels within companies and learn strategies to achieve and maintain high levels of productive energy. Students will have the opportunity to measure the energy within their own organizations through a questionnaire that has been used professionally by dozens of companies and organizations to increase creativity, productivity and morale. Based on the results of the questionnaire, students will receive an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of their own organizations.
The second session will deal with two specific leadership behaviors – transformational and transactional leadership. Students will learn these management styles in order to successfully lead individuals and high performance teams. This session will also include exercises in self-management with tools on how to overcome “busyness” by using one’s willpower to sustain personal energy and focus. The module aims at combining different methods, as interactive inputs, partner and group exercises as well as individual reflections following each section, to facilitate maximal learning achievements.
