Course Objective:
• To break down the components of a business plan, focusing on the most important aspects
• For students to understand how to develop a business plan that attracts investment

Course Description:
The course breaks down one of the most fundamental components of starting a business: the business plan. Through analyzing each of the sections of a business plan and using an example from a creative company, participants will be able to understand how a business plan is written and what makes one stand out from the others. The course directly correlates with the group work that focuses on pitching a business idea to investors on an assigned topic. At the end of the course, business plan development will be demystified and participants will be able to clearly explain an idea and be able to break it down into manageable parts that deal with the most important aspects of getting a business off the ground.
