Jeff Jarvis joins the Berlin School Board of Governors

He will lend his powerful insights on media and journalism to the Berlin School.
Jeff Jarvis is a journalist and Associate Professor and Director of the Interactive Journalism Program at the City University of New York's Graduate School of Journalism. A writer and bloger on media and news, his work can be found at Buzzmachine.com and in his new media column for The Guardian. Jeff is also currently a consultant for several media companies.
Jeff gained national notoriety when he wrote about his negative experiences in dealing with Dell Computer's customer support system on the website and changed the customer service landscape.
Until 2005, he was president and creative director of Advance.net, the online arm of Advance Publications. There he developed the children's educational site "Yuckiest Site on the Internet" with Susan Mernit. He has also consulted for the New York Times Company at About.com, where he worked on content development and strategy.
Jarvis was creator and founding editor of Entertainment Weekly; Sunday editor and associate publisher of the New York Daily News; TV critic for TV Guide and People; a columnist on the San Francisco Examiner; assistant city editor and reporter for the Chicago Tribune; reporter for Chicago Today.
Jeff is always at work on a new book.
