Knowledge Development: The Institute recruits leading researchers from around the world to be partners in an interdisciplinary knowledge development network.  We provide substantial support (e.g., funding, access to data, and top-notch industry contacts) to researchers focusing on questions of significant importance to the industry.  Similarly we help senior managers and entrepreneurs within the industry make connections with world-class researchers who can come up with novel solutions to their most pressing management problems.

Knowledge Dissemination: The Institute takes advantage of established global media outlets while creating innovative and engaging new and community based, media ones to advance research efforts and promote knowledge networking.  These resources also help develop new courses and teaching materials for existing curriculum and life-long learning efforts.

Industry Collaboration: The Institute works with corporations, non-profit organizations, industry associations, and other research centers to identify, coordinate, and execute relevant projects and knowledge sharing.  Likewise, we are creating innovative, continuing and executive education programs in conjunction with these groups to help them better appreciate the impact of knowledge development.

Student activities:
The Institute helps current and prospective students fulfill their academic and professional interests in the entertainment, media and sports industries.  Besides curriculum development, this includes assistance in recruiting top students to Anderson, support for extracurricular clubs and career management activities in the industry.

Alumni networking: The Institute functions as a natural “home” for countless alumnae who work in entertainment and media-related jobs, not to mention industry participants from other universities who have no industry touch point at their respective universities.

Leadership themes permeate the curriculum at the Institute.  Students have many opportunities to develop leadership skills in safe surroundings. This includes working in teams on real world management challenges through industry boot-camps, executive education, summer programs and global immersion experiences. There are also a multitude of leadership experiences available through related student associations and activities.  The Institute's rigorous programs offer exceptional academic preparation, a cooperative and congenial student culture, and access to a thriving business community, as well as support services for scholastic and career advancement.
